Revision of Eyelid Flaps and Correction of Ectropion

This lady had an extensive basal cell carcinoma removed and reconstruction performed with a cheek ‘V-Y’ flap and a glabellar flap from between the eyebrows 11 months earlier by other colleagues. Whilst this had successfully closed the defect such that the eye could be closed, the patient was concerned about her appearance and the lower eyelid being pulled down (ectropion). The patient underwent revision surgery as shown below to improve these concerns.
